PC Maintenance and cleaning is very important at regular intervals, especially so if someone in the household smokes or in houses where large amounts of dust are left by cats or dogs. Dirty fans and blocked heat sinks cause processors to get hot and heat can cause irreparable damage to a processor and the system. It can also cause a PC to run slow and in extreme cases prevent it from running. Fans and heat sinks should be checked at least every six months.
